CT Nova is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard personal information when you interact with our platform, which is delivered as a Managed Service Offer in the Azure Marketplace, running within the customer’s own Azure tenant.
This policy applies to all users of the CT Nova application and related services, including customer administrators, trainers, learners, and support personnel.
1. Information We Collect
We collect limited personal data necessary to deliver, support, and improve our services. This may include:
Contact Information: Name, email address, and role (e.g., administrator, trainer, learner)
Account Details: Login credentials, usage activity, access logs
Device and Usage Data: IP address, browser type, login timestamps, and error logs
Support Interactions: Messages and communications submitted through support channels
Azure Resource Metadata: For metered billing, we may collect metadata related to Azure services (e.g., KeyVault, App Service, CDN usage)
We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health, biometric, or financial information.
2. How We Use Your Data
CT Nova uses collected data to:
Operate and maintain the CT Nova platform
Support customer-specific configurations and migrations
Diagnose technical issues and provide customer support
Analyze platform usage to improve service performance and reliability
Fulfill obligations under our commercial agreements with customers
We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Data Residency and Processing
CT Nova runs entirely within each customer’s Microsoft Azure environment. Customer data remains under the customer’s ownership and control. CT Nova only processes data in accordance with the customer’s instructions and applicable agreements.
Support data, logs, and communications may be temporarily stored in Microsoft-hosted services (e.g., Outlook, SharePoint, Azure DevOps) strictly for service delivery and support purposes.
4. Cookies and Analytics
CT Nova does not use advertising or third-party cookies. We use session-based cookies only to authenticate users and maintain session state within the platform.
We may use anonymized usage analytics to improve the reliability and usability of the platform, in alignment with Microsoft Azure-native diagnostics.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share personal data except:
With authorized CT Nova personnel and contracted support providers, solely for the purpose of delivering the service
As required by law or legal process
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where permitted under confidentiality agreements
6. Your Rights and Choices
If you are a user of CT Nova and wish to access, correct, or delete your personal data, please contact your organization’s system administrator. We defer to our customers as data controllers for user-specific requests.

7. Children’s Data
CT Nova is not directed to children under the age of 13. The platform does not collect sufficient data to determine a user’s age. When customers deploy CT Nova in educational settings involving minors, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure appropriate consent and safeguards are in place.
8. Security
We apply industry-standard security practices, including Microsoft Azure-native access controls, encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access control (RBAC), and audit logging.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify customers of significant changes via email or in-app announcements. The most current version will always be available at ctnova.io/privacy.
